Inspect the flag, clips, rope or internal halyard, cleat and operating access during normal use.

Check the finish, fixings, movement, noise and nearby tree growth or other obstructions.

Periodic inspection

Review the base, anchors, surrounding foundation, corrosion protection and any signs of impact damage.

After severe weather

Inspect the full installation promptly after unusually high winds or visible damage before raising a flag again.

HANDOVER THAT STAFF CAN USE

Operation should be clear from day one.

The completed installation should include a practical demonstration of raising and lowering, authorised access, inspection points, replacement parts and the recommended maintenance interval.
