How wide should a school walkway be?
Width depends on expected traffic and whether wheelchair passage or two-way flow is needed. Main routes are generally planned wider than secondary connecting paths.
Can existing paths be made accessible?
Often yes. We assess existing gradients, kerbs and surfaces first to confirm what can be adapted versus rebuilt.
What slope is safe for drainage without becoming a ramp?
A gentle cross-slope is used to shed water while staying comfortable to walk on; steeper changes in level are handled with a proper ramp instead.
Can lighting and drainage be included in the same scope?
Yes. Route lighting, linear drainage, kerbs and edge protection can all be coordinated as part of the same works.
